| Friday 7th Sept |
19.00- 20:00: Arrival at Gunwharf Quays Marina . An ONDECK representative will be at the gates to meet you and escort you to the yachts.
The plan for the weekend is to sail across to France . Visiting Cherbourg subject to weather conditions.
Not only will you enjoy a weekend of exhilarating sailing but also it is intended that you will have time ashore to eat out in Cherbourg .
As with any cross Channel sailing trip we are at the mercy of the elements and may need to alter the planned destination ports on this basis |

Time to put the boat to bed and say farewell to your fellow sailors. All guests welcome to depart at their leisure (no onboard accommodation will be provided tonight). |
| KIT LIST |
The kit list below is intended as an indicative guide of what you should bring when sailing, clothing worn is generally dependent on weather. Please be aware conditions can change and to bring/wear the appropriate clothing.
Sailing often generates a lot of activity so comfortable clothes and shoes (with no dangly bits!) are wise. It is important you take soft soled shoes to wear on board - ideally deck shoes or trainers. Wind chill factors are increased when sailing so please bear in mind that several thin layers are better than one thick.
We suggest the following items, but stress this is a guide and not mandatory.
T-shirt and/or long sleeve shirt
Warm upper body clothing i.e fleece, sweatshirt and/or Jumper
Cap / hat (firm fitting)
Warm socks (spare pair in case they get wet)
Trainers or deck shoes – not black soles
Sailing wellies/any wellies are highly recommended
Sailing gloves are advisable if you have them (available to buy from ondeck)
Camera, sunscreen & sunglasses
Sleeping bag, pillow, small towel & wash bag
Change of clothes for the evening
Passport
European Health Insurance Card (EHIC – replacement for E111. Obtainable online)
Foreign currency
Money (cash points not always available at Marinas )
OnDeck provide coastal (not offshore) wet weather jacket and trousers (oilskins), but you may prefer to bring your own set if you have them. Life jackets and harnesses are also provided.
N.B. Deck shoes, Sailing Wellies, Gloves, Waterproof clothing, logbooks and more can be purchased from the Ondeck shop. Please visit us in Cowes or go on line to order goods. www.ondeckshop.com

Stowage is at a premium so please travel light. Clothing should be warm and comfortable and should not restrict movement. Quick drying fabrics may be beneficial. Several thin layers are better than one thick! |
